"...I think, especially here in his last paintings, those he did after his trip to America, that there comes over a lot of unexpected and surprising experiences in America. You can feel this positive shock, that this voyage has produced in him..." said Prof. K.R.H. Sonderborg about American Wall at the opening of Iz Maglow's solo-exhibition at State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart (1985).
All artwork are part of one big wall installation, that is organized like a classic Italian mural painting. But in this installation all separating elements are dominating the artwork and are continuing in each single painting to express the overwhelming and irritating impression of a voyage through a strange, new world.

VIS À VIS:
In one hand a Renaissance building from Massagio a wall painting and in the other hand a New York skyscraper by Johnson / Burgee. Balancing both cultures, this head creature is facing its jump over "the great lake".
