"iz .art" : Annunciation
Annunciations are interpretations of paintings from the environment of "vis-à-vis situations", here on the theme of "Mary's Annunciation" and similar themes, "Holy Cecilia", "Susanna in the Bath" or "La Voix Humaine".
Annunciation
In historical paintings, the story of "Mary's Annunciation" is presented differently. For Iz Maglow, the most interesting thing about these works is how the "balance of power" is shared between the painted actors.

Drawings
How does the angel appear, shy and submissive or controlling and commanding? And how does Mary react to her visitor, surrendering or rejecting the messenger, or does she wish, as in some paintings, to disappear?

Resolutely crossed arms deny any close approach. Obviously this woman is not very pleased about the old head's announcement.

Artistically related paintings
In the pictures around "Cecilia", "Susanna" or "La Voix Humaine", the painter transfers the arrangement and structure of his preaching to other stories and pictorial themes that contain a surprisingly similar "balance of power".
Cecilie, Maria and Susanna
A similar imbalance in the distribution of power, the painter also works on the basis of other narratives. Some of them also have their origins in Christian stories, some of them are widely associated.
SUSANNA IN THE BATH

HOLY CECILIA

When Iz Maglow created his painting "HOLY CECILIA" in 1988, he was inspired by the work "HOLY CECILIA" by MAX ERNST. A close relationship to Iz Maglow's art on the subject of "MARIA" and "ANNUNCIATION" is also obvious.

In these ladder announcements Iz Maglow has generalized the content of the proclamations and relocated them to the architecture. The symbol "CHAIR", from "balance of power" and "denunciation", has been replaced by the "LADDER", as a new process of real re-construction and re-creation.

La Voix Humaine
These situations relate to the play "La Voix Humaine" by Jean Cocteau. Another topic, but with a similar "balance of power". In this case, Iz Maglow replaced all players with abandoned items.
